Leslie Solis joined Idaho News 6 Team in June 2024 as your Caldwell neighborhood reporter.
Growing up, Leslie knew that being a reporter was more than just being on TV. It was all about being a familiar face that many could come up to and tell their story. After graduating from The University of Texas at Arlington in May of 2024 with a Bachelor's degree in broadcasting journalism, she decided to take a leap of faith and move across the country to the Treasure Valley to pursue her career and goals to help 'la comunidad'.
Born and raised in Texas as a first-generation daughter of Latinos, she knew her greater goal had become finding ways to help her Hispanic community in the Gem State. Being bilingual, Leslie hopes to pave her way in Canyon County and Caldwell and reach those stories that are out there.
Some highlights of her time in Texas were being a part of many organizations such as Arlington Sentinel News en español and Maverick Media. In her downtime, she enjoys going out and meeting new people and trying new places to eat and support.
