Kate Jacobson is a lifelong Boise resident who joined the Idaho News 6 team as a digital content producer in 2024. Kate assumed the role of Assignment Desk Manager in the summer of 2025.
Kate graduated from Boise State in 2023 where she studied political science and journalism. When she's not working, you can usually find her going to local concerts, thrifting or hanging out with her cats.
