Karen joined the Idaho News 6 news team in June 2013 after living in Florida her whole life.
She currently co-anchors the 5:00 and 6:00 newscasts Monday through Friday, but you might also catch her filling in on weather, reporting, or working behind the scenes to help produce newscasts.
Karen was honored to receive the Idaho State Broadcaster's Association "Best Reporter" award in both 2017 and 2018. To date, her most memorable story assignment was flying in an F-16 Fighting Falcon with a US Air Force Thunderbirds pilot in 2018.
During her college years, Karen interned at the CBS and Fox affiliates in Orlando, FL. She graduated from the University of Central Florida with honors and a major in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Crime, Law, and Deviance.
Karen loves living in the Treasure Valley with her husband and daughter. The South Florida-native still gets excited about Idaho's changing seasons and enjoys gardening in her backyard and hiking in the Boise foothills with her dogs.
If you see Karen out around town don't hesitate to say, "hi!"
