A man is hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the chest, after authorities believe an altercation escalated into shots fired.
The incident happened shortly before 5:00 p.m. near East Idaho Avenue and SE 3rd Street in Ontario, near a Taco Bell.
Police say the victim was taken to St. Alphonsus Ontario in a private vehicle. They believe his injuries are non-life threatening.
Ontario Police responded to the scene, and say three vehicles fled the area before they could stop the occupants and question them about what happened.
They're still investigating who was involved and what happened, and urge any members of the public with information to come forward.
