KUNA, Idaho — UPDATE, Sept. 4 | The Ada County Sheriff's Office on Friday identified the body of a man found by a fisherman on Aug. 23 at the Swan Falls Dam as 52-year-old Zavy Turner of Boise.

ACSO says deputies responded to a report of a water rescue at Swan Falls Dam in Kuna at roughly 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 23.

Law enforcement says initial reports indicate that an adult man fell into the water and did not resurface. While the search started as a rescue, officials say it turned into a recovery operation.
Crews used divers, drones, and boats equipped with sonar to search the water. Sonar uses sound waves to help identify objects beneath the surface.
Officials said conditions complicated the search.
"Our visibility is only about 6 ft, and so that's causing a little bit of problems, and the sun, when it's really high up, you get glare on the water, and we're able to see less," Lowry said.
Lowry told Neighborhood Reporter Sahana Patel that the scale of the river presented significant challenges.
"A river this size to search with divers is impossible. The divers physically exhaust. You run out of air, those kinds of things, so we do very targeted searches of educated guesses of where the person was last seen," Lowry said.
Deputies are urging people to use extra caution when recreating on the Snake River.
"It is a lot swifter than it looks and oftentimes can catch people off guard, and that is usually our cause of drownings out here. When people are recreating out here, just asking them to be overly cautious and be aware of that undercurrent," Lowry said.
The Ada County Sheriff's Office says that search efforts were ended Monday evening due to fast-moving current conditions.
ACSO says a fisherman discovered the body the morning of Friday, Aug. 28. The sheriff's office went to the scene and recovered the body. They confirmed it was the same man they had been searching for earlier in the week and said they did not suspect foul play.
The Ada County Sheriff's Office says the man's identity may be released by the Ada County Coroner's Office at a later time.
