BOISE, Idaho — A Boise man snapped some photos of what appears to be a large bobcat roaming a field near a playground in north Boise.

Ryan Chisum says he spotted the large cat around 8:15 Tuesday evening in close proximity to Stewart Gulch Park just past Quail Hollow Golf Course on 36th Street in north Boise.

"We were on the back porch eating dinner and we all spotted it as our lab barked at the fence," Chisum said. "It was only 10 feet from the backyard fence when we saw it."

Chisum contacted Ada County Dispatch who enlisted Idaho Fish and Game to check it out.

The Treasure Valley is no stranger to wild animal sightings. Just last week, Nampa Police were tasked with wrangling a wild moose that made its way into town.

If you spot a wild animal in Ada County near a residential area, you can call Ada County Dispatch at (208) 377-6790 and they can contact the proper agencies to respond when necessary.
