It’s important to know one thing when traveling this holiday season; what to bring and what not to bring. This rings true especially when traveling through the airport. Most know liquids under 3.4 oz are not permitted on carry-ons, you must always have your photo I.D on you but now Boise airport encourages travelers to leave wrapped presents, unwrapped, "people will bring wrapped Christmas gifts and is TSA sees something in that gift that they may not like they have to unwrap that gift”, says Boise Airports marketing manager, Sean Briggs.

While leaving gifts sans the pretty paper and shiny bows seem odd, there's a reason for it. Wrapped presents can easily disguise dangerous or suspicious items. For the safety of you and other travelers make all items in your bag accessible to help TSA reduce delays. If you choose to ignore security recommendations-TSA is able to unwrap your gifts or confiscate them, To ensure the safe arrival of you and your gifts opt for caring the gift in a bag or simply leaving it unwrapped ready for security to inspect if needed.

The Boise Airport would also like to remind travelers that this month is on track to be the busiest yet, “we’re trending 11% up over last year in terms of total passenger traffic” meaning, “it’s important to give yourself up to two hours before your departure time”, Sean Briggs, marketing manager at Boise Airport
