Caldwell Police have arrested the man who was shot by officers investigating a domestic disturbance call on Sunday.
Authorities say 40-year-old Clifford O. Carter, of Caldwell, faces eight charges for actions preceding that shooting incident.
Those charges include attempted strangulation, domestic battery, aggravated assault, intentional destruction of a telecommunications line or instrument, malicious injury to property and driving under the influence.
Caldwell Police say they responded to reports of a domestic disturbance on Canyon Hill late Sunday night.
When the first officer arrived, police say a man in a car tried to run that officer over. The officer shot at the man as he continued out of the driveway.
Carter was then taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and has since been arrested.
