More than four months after a shootout on the Boise Bench, the High Desert Harley Davidson in Meridian is trying to help Boise Police Officer Kevin Holtry get back on a motorcycle.

In the November 11th shooting, Officer Holtry was paralyzed from the waist down and had to have his left leg amputated.

Just two weeks before the shooting, Officer Holtry was in the market for a new Harley Davidson.

Now, managers at the Treasure Valley dealership want to make his dreams a reality.

"He was a very avid motorcycle rider prior and it was one of the things that he wants to do again to bring back some normality to his life," said Todd Godfrey of High Desert Harley Davidson. "We are very honored to be able to do this. What he did for us is amazing and it's the very least that we could do."
