In the Boise area, sunny skies and hot temperatures are expected to stick around for much of the week. Highs should reach around 90 on Sunday before climbing to 94 on Monday and close to 96 by Tuesday and Wednesday. Overnight temperatures will stay fairly warm, mostly in the low to mid-60s.
The hot and mostly sunny pattern is expected to continue into Thursday and Friday, with temperatures cooling just slightly into the low 90s before dipping into the upper 80s by next Saturday.
Twin Falls is also looking at a stretch of summer heat, although there are a few chances for thunderstorms mixed into the forecast. Sunday is expected to stay sunny with highs near 87.
There’s a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms Monday afternoon in the Magic Valley, mainly from late morning into the afternoon. Another slight chance for storms returns Wednesday afternoon and again next Saturday. Even with those rain chances, temperatures are still expected to reach around 90 on Monday and stay in the low 90s through the middle of the week.
Overall, warm overnight temperatures are expected to continue across southern Idaho, with lows mostly ranging from the upper 50s to mid-60s.
As the week begins and people head back to work, expect warm mornings and hot afternoons across both the Treasure Valley and Magic Valley. If you plan to spend time outside, stay hydrated and take breaks from the heat when needed.
