Boise topped 100 degrees on Thursday for the 18th time this year which is two days shy of the record 20 days set in 2003.
A significant increase in smoke is possible over at least the next couple of days with diminishing air quality.
Temperatures could still top 100 Friday through Sunday with hazy sunshine. On Sunday there will be some clouds mixing in during the day.
