Windy But Warmer for Thursday

Posted
and last updated

After a chance of some isolated showers this morning, the clouds will start to decrease, leading to a mostly sunny afternoon. The wind returns today, with wind speeds out of the northwest up to 25 miles per hour this afternoon. That will make our afternoon high of 69 degrees feel just a bit cooler.  Mountain locations keep a chance of showers and storms throughout the day.

Heading into Friday, cloud cover will build a bit as a low pressure system approaches from the Northwest. The system will bring a chance of thunderstorms and rain showers to the Treasure Valley by Friday night, and snow to elevations above 7,000 feet. The system moves out quickly though, allowing for mild weekend temperatures and partly sunny skies. High pressure builds in next week, sky-rocketing our temperatures to 80 degrees by mid-week.
