VALLEY COUNTY — On Sunday morning, the Valley County Sheriff's Office warned the public of thin ice spots after responding to a four-wheeler that broke through the ice on Lake Cascade.
The owner is working on its removal, VCSO says.
VCSO calls the rescue a "stark reminder" to always watch for areas of thin ice and open water spots when recreating.
"The lake is shifting and changing with these abnormal winter conditions," said VCSO, "Be alert!"
