Just one day before the Boise State Broncos and WSU Cougars collide at Albertson's Stadium for the Bronco’s home opener. Boise State lost a home opener in 2001, which was against Wazzu.
Defensive coordinator, Andy Avalos played in that game and wants to put it behind him. This weekend’s contest could be just as tough with all the talent the Cougars have. But says he wants to move past the 2001 game.
“They scored a lot of points, we were talking about it the other day. Shoot, they came down here, obviously, they did a phenomenal job and it was a blowout. They present a lot of challenges, and in this week, it comes down to us executing our fundamentals and our techniques.” said Defensive coordinator, Andy Avalos.
