Talon Pinckney scored a career-high 19 points, as the College of Idaho retained the United Heritage Insurance Mayors’ Cup with a 77-53 victory over Northwest Nazarene inside the J.A. Albertson Activities Center.
The true freshman scored 12 points in the second half, as the Yotes (6-1) won for the fifth-straight time – and recorded their largest margin of victory against the rival Crusaders since 1989.
NNU, who played the game as an exhibition, took their only lead of the game at 15-13, but C of I used a 15-2 run to take the lead for good.
