Boise State men’s basketball will not participate in a postseason tournament. The Broncos finish the 2015-16 campaign with a 20-12 record, including an 11-7 mark in the Mountain West to finish third. It is the fifth 20-win season in Leon Rice’s six years as head coach.
“After discussing the options with our coaching staff, we didn’t think the postseason opportunities available to us were in the best interest of our program moving forward,” said Boise State Director of Athletics Curt Apsey. “It has been a long season and we’re excited to focus our energies on next year.”
With the Broncos not playing in a post season tournament Senior Anthony Drmic will finish second all-time on the Boise State scoring list with 1,942 points. Drmic was just two points shy of Tanoka Beard of the overall spot with 1,944 points.
