The Bronco’s made the announcement that sophomore safety Dylan Sumner-Gardner has been suspended for four games as a result of failing to meet NCAA football academic eligibility requirements. Last season he suffered a season-ending ankle injury against Virginia. Gardner pled guilty in February to a misdemeanor charge of drug paraphernalia.
“You have to take care of business Certainly disappointed in that situation there, but I think my 10-year-old son plays football now too and he understands you have to take care of your school work and do things to be able to play,” said, Head Coach Bryan Harsin.
Gardner has played in 17 games at Boise State having 33 tackles, In his place, Saturday Junior Cameron Hartsfield has been listed as the starter on the depth chart.
