Bishop Kelly loses to Century in 4-A title game

In the 4A state title game Bishop Kelley lost a tough one to Century 55 to 45 as the Diamondbacks picked up back to back state titles.

Future Montana grizzly Gabbi Harrington finished her final game with 17 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 steals. Century’s size in the game proved to be the difference maker, they out rebounded Bishop Kelly 42 to 27.

“They battle and they do what you ask them to do. They have grit and they just get it done. Last night's game was exhausting emotionally and physically but they came out and played hard and didn't give up.” said Derek McCormick, Bishop Kelly head coach.

“Second place at state is great. You always want to win but our goal was to get to the state tournament and we did that. We did what we could and we couldn't do anything else. We got to the championship game and played our hearts out.” said Gabbi Harrington, senior wing.
