BOISE, ID—Fire mangers are keeping close watch on a predicted warming and drying trend today that could bring an increase in fire activity.

Level 1 evacuation orders are also now in effect due to the Pioneer Fire for homes east of Grimes Pass Rd. and south of the Payette River.  Level 1 orders mean it's time for people to prepare for the possibility of leaving their homes.

There is a community meeting scheduled for tomorrow night at the Lowman Fire Station at 7 p.m.

The Pioneer Fire near Lowman is now 68,893 acres and 40% contained. There are almost 1,800 personnel assigned, according to the Boise National Forest.

The Rough Fire northeast of Lowman is 1,825 acres and 10 percent contained.
