The Valley Regional Transit Board approved fare increases for the ValleyRide bus systems.
The base fare will increase by 50% (up to $1.50), although senior, student and disability discounts will still be in place.
Officials say the goal is to have fares cover most of the cost of services consumed.
The last fare increase in Ada County was back in 2003.
The increases will take effect starting October 1, 2019.
