USPS temporarily removes some Boise collection boxes ahead of inauguration

The United States Postal Service will temporarily remove some collection boxes in Boise ahead of Joe Biden's inauguration.

The changes come as security preparations for "potential upcoming civil events," according to USPS. In total, 10 USPS blue collection boxes will be temporarily removed to "protect postal property, employees and the public."

The boxes being removed are:

  • 250 S 5th St. 83702
  • 999 W Main St. 83702
  • 304 N. 5th St. 83702
  • 801 W. Idaho St. 83702
  • 702 W. Idaho St. 83702
  • 317 N. 9th St. 83702
  • 620 N. 6th St. 83702
  • 888 W. Fort St. 83702
  • 701 W. Fort St. 83702
  • 950 W. Bannock St. 83702
