After nearly three months listed as a runaway, Rebecca Medina is home safe. Police say the 16-year-old was found with 21-year-old Gonzalo Olmeda, on the 100 block of Davis in Nampa after tips from neighbors.

Sergeant Jason Cantrell says, "Olmeda was arrested for harboring a runaway and for a probation violation warrant." He is currently being held in the Canyon County Jail.

Medina was first listed as a runaway back in May, but this week investigators released information indicating that she may be in danger, and held against her will.

Police say an adult who knowingly allows a juvenile runaway to remain under their care and who is not the parent or guardian of the child is guilty of harboring a runaway.  A runaway is a person under the age of eighteen who has been reported to police by the parent or guardian as "out of their control" and they do not have information on their whereabouts.

These cases are treated as missing persons and at times, missing and endangered due to the circumstances developed from the investigation.
