Two firefighters from the Navajo Interagency Hotshot Crew were injured last night while conducting fire suppression activities on the Rattlesnake Creek Fire.

The Navajo Interagency Hotshot Crew is an experienced hand crew that is trained to work in a steep and rugged environment. The Rattlesnake Creek Fire is burning near Pollock, Idaho in the Nez Perce Clearwater National Forest. 

The two firefighters were taken from the fire line to a hospital in McCall. Both have been treated and released from the hospital. One is going home, but the other is being taken to a Salt Lake City burn facility for more treatment. There is no word on his condition.
