Commuters in Meridian are being encouraged to take an alternate route this morning at Highway 69 and Overland Road.
Construction in the area will continue later this morning than originally expected. The construction is usually supposed to end at 6 in the morning. So if you drive through south Meridian this morning, you'll want to plan for extra time and take a different route.
The Idaho Transportation Department is apologizing and is working with the contractor to avoid this from happening in the future.
