Garden City Police have taken a third person into custody after a shooting death on October 20th.

Police had listed Mykle Don Blumenshine Jr. as a person of interest in the homicide of Paul Russel Jr.  They received information last night that Blumenshine Jr. was in a home on Fox Brush Ct. in Ada County.

Members of the Garden City Police Department, Ada County Sheriff's Office and the Boise Police Department all responded to the scene.  Investigators say Blumenshine Jr. turned himself in without incident.  He was booked into the Ada County Jail on an Agents Warrant.

Blumenshine Jr. is the third person taken into custody in connection with Russel Jr.'s death.

Elena Pena, 27, was charged with aiding and abetting aggravated battery in connection with the shooting. She was arrested with her boyfriend, Lyle Croson, 34. Croson was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.

Investigators will now send their reports to the Ada County Prosecuting Attorney's office for a review of homicide charges against the three suspects.

“Blumenshine Jr.’s arrest was a major step towards closure in this homicide investigation. There is still a lot of work to be done but we believe we have all the suspects involved in this homicide in custody,” said Garden City Police Chief Rick Allen.
