BURLEY — A Burley man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing death of a teenage girl that happened 24 years ago.
The Cassia County Sheriff says Gilberto Flores Rodriguez has been charged with first degree murder for the death of 14-year-old Regina Krieger.
Rodriguez was taken into custody earlier today. No word yet on what led authorities to the suspect.
The girl disappeared from her home in Burley back in 1995. Her body was found several months later along the snake river.
The FBI and the Minidoka county sheriff’s office were both part of the investigation.
