BOISE, Idaho — In response to support from the Idaho community, St. Luke’s Health System has set up an organized way for people to get involved and help with the COVID-19 response. Detailed on a new special COVID-19 St. Luke’s webpage, people can find information on ways to make donations of needed equipment, charitable financial donations to support patients, employees and St. Luke’s hospitals, and sign-up for opportunities to volunteer.

St. Luke’s is now welcoming volunteer applications from all providers, clinicians and non-clinical personnel. Applicants can submit information about their volunteer interests, experience and professional expertise in a short form on St. Luke’s online COVID-19 Workforce Repository. St. Luke’s workforce team will review each submission and reach out to qualified applicants to discuss any opportunities to support St. Luke's patient care and operations.

To support St. Luke’s efforts, all St. Luke’s Foundations have COVID-19 Response Funds. Donations will go directly to support patient assistance and caregivers working on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic. They also help St. Luke’s obtain resources critical to patient care during this unprecedented outbreak. People who are interested in supporting this important effort, can use this link or can contact their local St. Luke’s Foundation at the contact information listed below.

Idaho’s local United Way organizations, working with many partners, have created a new donation marketplace to help connect community and business donors of equipment and needed supplies to health and human service providers across our region. Donated items will be distributed to support local areas of greatest need. Items in short supply have been identified, including but not limited to personal protective equipment, disinfectants and cleaning products, and hygiene items. The list of requested items will continue to evolve as needs change.
