A Meridian man is in custody following a warrant service at a North Meridian home.
Police say Mitchell Gushwa, 24, of Meridian was taken into custody about 2:30 pm Thursday.
Officials say three Meridian schools were issued a "shelter in place" -- after a warrant service near McMillan and Linder Roads.
Students at Paramount Elementary and Heritage Middle School were being kept inside and all exterior doors are locked as Meridian Police execute a warrant on an individual that police say is not "law enforcement friendly".
Rocky Mountain High School was also told to shelter in place.
McMillan Road was also shut down between Linder Road and Summit Way. Drivers were asked to avoid the area.
