Idaho State Police say an early morning crash on the Interstate that impacted traffic for hours happened after a truck driver fell asleep.
Police tell us John Vazquez was driving eastbound near the Blacks Creek rest area east of Boise when he fell asleep. He went off the road and then overcorrected flipping the truck onto its side. He was taken to the hospital, no word on his condition.
The truck remained on its side blocking a portion of eastbound lanes for about two hours before crews were able to get it upright and pulled off the road.
