The residents at the Rushmore trailer court who are being forced to leave their homes due to a sewer issue have been granted an extension of stay by the City of Nampa.

Nampa city officials say that the April 17th deadline has been extended to May 31st unless the sewer system fails before then.

The residents are being forced to move after the landlord claimed that the septic system is failing and would be too costly to replace.

The residents were restricted to using water only for an hour a day but have had that rule changed to five hours of water a day. If the septic system fails, then residents will have seven days to vacate the premises.

Many residents are claiming they have nowhere to go.
