Potential changes to Central District Health public health orders to be discussed Friday

Central District Health will discuss possible changes to public health orders issued in Ada and Valley Counties on Friday.

The Board of Health is set to meet at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 19 to discuss potential changes to the public health order issued for Ada County, as well as a face mask order issued in Valley County. The board will also discuss the public health advisory issued for all four counties, according to CDH.

The public health order for Ada County went into effect June 24 and limits gathering sizes and mandates face coverings in public. A face covering mandate for Valley County went into effect August 11.

The public health advisory, which the board voted to not make an order in December, went into effect No. 17 and includes "includes strong recommendations for individuals and businesses around personal behaviors and business operations." The advisory includes wearing face coverings, social distancing, avoiding gatherings, working remotely and more.

CDH will have limited occupancy for in-person attendance with health and safety guidelines in place. Written comments can be sent via email or mail up to 24-hours before the meeting at boh@cdh.idaho.gov or mailed to CDH, Attention: Board of Health, 707 N. Armstrong Place, Boise, ID 83704.
