BOISE — A Nampa truck driver has been cited after Boise Police officers say he struck a bicyclist in a crosswalk.

It happened about 10:15 a.m. Tuesday at the eastbound I-84 on-ramp at Cole Road in west Boise.

“Evidence gathered on the scene indicates that a semi-truck was turning right onto the on-ramp when it struck and ran over the cyclist as he was crossing in the crosswalk,” according to a Boise Police news release. “The cyclist, an adult male, was transported to an area hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.”

The driver of the semi, identified as 65-year-old Antonio Cordova of Nampa, was cited for inattentive driving.
