The Ada County Coroner's Office has identified a pedestrian killed near the intersection of State Street and Clithero Drive.
Dwayne Poulton, 31, of Boise, died from blunt force trauma after being struck by a vehicle just before 7 AM on April 13th.
Police say a Prius was driving eastbound when it hit a man trying to cross the street. According to witnesses, Poulton was not in a crosswalk.
After the crash, the driver and a witness began to provide help to Poulton while they waited for emergency crews.
Poulton was taken to St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center where later died of his injuries.
Police are still investigating and no citations have been issued.
