Payette County officials are looking for a man they believe ran his own mother off the road Thursday.

On April 19, at 6:11 pm Payette County Deputies responded to an injury collision on US Hwy 95 north of NE 19th Avenue. Deputies were assisted by the Payette City Police Department and Idaho State Police.

When deputies arrived, they found an 80-year-old woman from Payette that was injured in the collision. She was subsequently transported to a local hospital because of the injuries that she sustained during the incident.

The investigation into this incident has identified her son, Roger Wayne Lincoln, 58 of Payette, as the suspect in this case. Investigators believe Lincoln intentionally forced his mother off the road while she was attempting to drive to the Payette County Sheriff’s Office for assistance.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Lincoln's arrest with a bail of $1,000,000.00. The charges on the warrant are for Aggravated Battery, Intimidating a Witness, Leaving the Scene of an Injury Collision and Intentional Destruction of a Telecommunication Line or Telecommunication Instrument.

The Payette County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Lincoln. If located the public should not approach him. Anyone with information about Lincoln’s whereabouts should call 911 or contact the Payette County Sheriff’s Office at 208-642-6006 ext. 1175. Anonymous tips can be called into Crime Stoppers at 208-414-2677.

Lincoln may be driving a red 1999 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, like the one in the attached photos.
The investigation into this incident is continuing by the Payette County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Idaho State Police.
