An Oregon man has been arrested on probable cause for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, according to the Oregon State Police.
Kenneth Medenbach, 62, of Crescent, Oregon was arrested at a Safeway in Burns, Oregon driving a vehicle that was reported stolen from the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.
The vehicle was one of two vehicles previously reported as stolen to the Harney County Sheriff’s Office by U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS). Both vehicles have been recovered.
"The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is grateful for the quick actions from law enforcement," said USFWS spokesperson Megan Nagel. "We will continue to work with law enforcement to recover vehicles bought and paid for by the American people to care for their national wildlife refuge."
Medenbach will be transported to Deschutes County Jail and will be held on a $10,000 bail.
