An Ontario suspect who shot a man in the face was arrested on Friday, according to Malheur County Sheriff’s Office.
At about 2:45 am on Friday, November 11, 2016, the Malheur County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch Center received a 911 call regarding a male subject who had been shot.
Deputies located Christopher Harold Kygar, 27, of Ontario, walking on the road with blood coming from his face.
Kygar was transported to St. Alphonsus Hospital in Ontario and later transferred to St. Alphonsus Hospital in Boise.
Kygar identified Ian Daniel Inger, 19, of Ontario, as the person who shot him in the face. Kygar also told investigators Inger left the area in Kygar’s girlfriend’s vehicle.
At about 12:25 PM, Oregon State Police located the stolen vehicle driving on Railroad Ave in Malheur County. The suspect was stopped and taken into custody by Oregon State Police and Malheur County Sheriff’s Office without incident.
Inger is currently charged with attempted murder, first assault, unauthorized use of a stolen vehicle and possession of a stolen vehicle.
Kygar was last reported to be in good condition.
