BOISE, Idaho — Now that the holiday season is over, it's time to ditch that Christmas tree!

With the help of the City of Boise, people can now recycle their trees! All you have to do is cut the tree up into sections (4 feet long or shorter) and put it out on your regular trash pickup day. Make sure you take all the decorations off first! The trees will be recycled through the first full week of January.

The city will turn the trees into mulch.

If you live in Nampa, don't sweat it! You can drop off your tree at the Kohlerlawn Cemetery on N. 6th Street. Those will also be turned into mulch, and will be used throughout the parks and trail system.

If you get lost, just follow signs within the cemetery.
