RIGBY, Idaho (AP) — A shooting at an eastern Idaho middle school injured two students and a custodian Thursday morning.

A male student has been taken into custody. It's unclear at this time what charges he may be facing.

Jefferson County Sheriff Steve Anderson says the victims’ injuries Thursday aren't believed to be life-threatening.

Police were called to Rigby Middle School around 9:15 a.m. Thursday, and multiple law enforcement agencies were on scene.

The school is located in the small city of Rigby, which is about 95 miles southwest of Yellowstone National Park.

Students were evacuated to a nearby high school, where parents could pick them up.

The superintendent says the shooting at the school is the worst nightmare a district could encounter.

The attack appears to be Idaho’s second school shooting.
