One man is dead following a vehicle rollover in Canyon County.

About 7:30 a.m., Canyon County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash near Melba -- on Southside Blvd. near Melmont Road.

A passing motorist discovered the crash and reported it.

When deputies arrived, they found the driver had been ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.  Right now, the victim is identified only as a 25-year-old male from Nampa, according to Canyon County spokesman Joe Decker. The man’s name is being withheld until family has been notified.

“It appears the crash happened sometime overnight, but was not discovered until daylight,” Decker said.

“It is unknown if alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash,” he added.

The Canyon County Sheriff’s Office and the Idaho State Police are investigating the crash.
