On Wednesday December 20th, Nampa Police were trying to serve an arrest warrant on Michael Lance Davis, 36, of Nampa. According to police they located Davis driving near Southside Boulevard and East Greenhurst Road and when they attempted to pull him over he took off.
Davis tried to ram one of the pursing police car then lost control and slammed into a power pole, said police. After a short chase on foot he was arrested and booked into the Canyon County Jail.
Davis was originally wanted for two counts of delivery of a controlled substance stemming from an ongoing investigation by the Nampa Police Special Investigation Unit.
During the search of the vehicle Davis was driving police say they found two loaded firearms, a bag of methamphetamine, scales, drug ledgers, and over $2000.00 in cash.
Davis was released from prison to probation in February, 2017. He was previously serving a prison sentence for aggravated assault and battery on law enforcement officers. In 2012, Davis was involved with an incident that led to him being shot by a Canyon County Deputy.
