Schools in the Mountain Home district will have additional safety measures in place today. Due to a threat made to Bennett Mountain High School, they and Hacker High School will be closed for precautionary reasons. Mountain Home High School will be in a hard lock down during the day. There will also be extra police presence at the school.

A hard lock down means that students will be able to pass during the passing periods. Teachers are going to be monitoring the exits during those passing periods. All classrooms will be locked, which is standard. If a student has to leave the class, they will be escorted with someone from the office.

These are some of the additional safety measures in place at MHHS according to Asst. Principal Mark Cotton.
