Missing Wilder girl found safe, suspect in custody

UPDATE: A Wilder man is in custody in connection with a missing 14-year-old girl who was found safely this afternoon. Police say Hector Arias, 35 is now in custody at the Wilder Police Department. Officers began searching for Arias when 14-year-old Jasmyne Olenik was reported missing early Monday afternoon. The young girl was believed to be in danger. An investigation is now underway and charges are pending.

A 14-year-old Wilder girl who had been missing since Monday has been found safe, according to the Wilder Police Department.

Jasmyne Olenik was found Tuesday. However, officers did not release information as to how or where she was located.

Reports say the girl had left school about 11:20 a.m. Monday to met with Hector Flores Arias, also of Wilder. The girl was believed to be endangered.

“Hector has not been located as of yet,” according to a Wilder Police Department news release.
