Minor traffic accident results in road rage incident and arrests

A minor accident that turned into a road rage incident has resulted in two Boiseans being arrested.

Boise Police officers responded to the call of a road rage incident at approximately 11:35 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7th, near the intersection of West Overland Road and South Orchard Street.

Witnesses told officers that two vehicles had a minor traffic accident in a parking lot. Following the accident, a confrontation occurred, and an adult man got out of a vehicle and displayed a firearm at the occupants of the other vehicle.

The suspect fled the scene and officers were able to pull the vehicle over near West Kootenai Street and South Phillippi Street.

Officers searched the area around the vehicle and were able to find a handgun in some bushes alongside a plastic baggie containing a crystalline substance, according to Boise Police.

The male suspect, identified as Louis A. Wallace, 31, of Boise was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon-two counts (F), controlled substance-delivery/intent (F), unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon (F), and probation violation (F).

A female who was also riding in the vehicle was arrested after officers found a syringe containing a crystalline substance in her possession.

Elean E. Magee, 27, of Boise, was charged with possession of a controlled substance (F), and possession of drug paraphernalia (m).
