BOISE, Idaho — A Meridian woman will face up to 15 years in prison after being convicted of killing another driver in a drunk driving crash last year.

23-year-old Courtni Verity was found guilty for felony vehicular manslaughter earlier this week.

Police say Verity was traveling northbound on Ten Mile Road in a 2005 Toyota Avalon at a "high rate of speed" when she collided with 32-year-old Herbert "Herbie" Moran's 2004 Ford Mustang.

When police arrived, they found Moran lying on a walking path unresponsive. Officials say Moran was ejected from his vehicle after the impact forced his Mustang into the guardrail, causing it to spin. He died at the scene.

Police found Verity sitting on the bank of a nearby canal. Her Toyota was resting upright in the canal.
