Meridian Police responded to a report of possible child enticement in the area of NW 11th and W Woodbury in Meridian around 5:00 PM Tuesday tonight.

Police say the nine-year-old female victim reported being approached by an unknown man asking her if she wanted some candy. When the victim refused, police say the man attempted to grab her by the wrist, but she was able to pull away and run to safety.

Authorities say the suspect is described as a black male, with a dragon tattoo on his upper left arm, a nose piercing, and “odd front teeth.” Police say he was wearing a mask over his eyes. The suspect is possibly driving a black truck with a silhouette sticker of a cat in the rear window.

The victim, who was recently adopted, just moved to Meridian from California.
