MERIDIAN — Meridian Police arrest two suspects in the act of committing vehicle burglaries early Monday morning.

Police said they were contacted by an alert citizen who noticed two suspects rummaging through a vehicle in the area of Cherry Lane and Linder Road in the Vineyards Subdivision. When an officer approached the two suspects, they ran from the officer.

Officers quickly set up a perimeter, and one suspect, Adam Jackson, 18, of Meridian was located in the 1400 block of Silverado hiding under a bush, said police.

The second suspect who is a 15-year-old was located in the back yard of another residence in the area.

Jackson was booked into the Ada County Jail for burglary, felony possession of a controlled substance (controlled medications) and operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent. The juvenile was booked into Ada County Juvenile Detention for the same charges.

Meridian police said it is too early to know if these suspects were involved in the vehicle burglaries from last week.
