A man has been arrested on a second-degree murder charge in Elmore County.
Online jail records show Donald Robert Schultz was arrested Tuesday on the murder charge, and multiple other charges.
Officials say in late March of this year, police received a tip from a citizen about a possible missing person. During the investigation, evidence of several other criminal offenses were revealed. Police say while they were interviewing a suspect, detectives learned of an altercation between the suspect and the missing person that resulted in the missing person's death.
Detectives say Schultz and the missing person operated a small auto-repair business from a shop on Dutton way.
Police say the filing of formal charges is "merely an accusation" and remind the public the charged suspect is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
The investigation is ongoing.
