A good smile is sometimes taken for granted.
When you’re embarrassed to smile because of your teeth, it can take away your confidence.
To help Idahoans with their smile, the Boise Oral Surgery and Dental Implant Center held its first “Smile Again” program which asked applicants to write a letter stating why they want a better smile.
The recipient, Briana Stringfield, was chosen after writing an essay revealing that she one day hopes to become a music teacher. She believes that a better smile would make her more outgoing and more confident to talk to kids.
“I couldn't be upset if anyone else won because this is such an amazing thing for somebody else. And so, when I found out that I won, it was just completely overwhelming," Stringfield explained.
Briana will be getting her new teeth in the upcoming weeks and 6 On Your Side will be following her journey throughout the transformation.
