BLM Idaho Fire said crews made good progress on containment of the Blue Ridge Fire, moving the control time forward to 7 p.m. Saturday.
The fire was mapped at 14,317 acres.

Forward progression of the Blue Ridge Fire was stopped on Friday evening, reported the U.S. Wildland Fire Service.
According to an update from BLM Idaho Fire, officials say the wildfire is currently estimated at around 13,500 acres, with containment expected at 8:00 p.m. Saturday.
"Smoke from isolated unburned islands may be visible throughout the day," officials warned.
Fire crews will continue to work along the fire's edge throughout the day and into the evening.
Resources assigned to the wildfire consist of 8 overhead personnel, 8 engines, 1 air attack, 2 dozers and 1 Helitack crew, BLM Idaho Fire said.
The fire has an estimated control time of 8:00 p.m. Sunday.

The Blue Ridge fire has spread to 13,500 acres, according to the Idaho Department of Lands.

ORIGINAL STORY:
A fire in southern Idaho, located west of Buhl, has grown to 6,000 acres.
According to the Idaho Department of Lands, the Blue Ridge Fire started at around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 5. The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
As of 7:00 p.m., the fire is at 6,000 acres.
