While the West Coast is busy battling wildfires, across the country the East Coast has been dealing with the effects of hurricane Florence and the flash floods that followed.

Emergency response teams, various relief organizations and disaster restoration companies have been hard at work. Here in Idaho, SERVPRO Boise, a franchise owned disaster restoration company sent a team to New Bern, NC to help victims of Hurricane Florence get their homes back in order.

The company specializes in fire and water damages so after returning home after a month in Redding, CA fixing homes damaged by wildfires, the team jumped at the opportunity to help the East Coast, “the franchise system has gathered around these large scale events… whatever we can we try to band together and just take care of those people in need” said SERVPRO CFO, Allie Isaacson.

SERVPRO company officials encourage the public to support the efforts of the Red Cross during this time. Click here for SERVPRO’s donations page.
